How close are they?

On every figure Pragmatic Play publishes, the two games match: same default RTP, same multiplier range, same free spins count and trigger, same volatility wording. The long-run cost is the same 3.50 per 100 spins at a 1.00 stake, on average. Wins are never guaranteed.

The one published difference is the ante bet. Pragmatic Play’s launch announcement for Starlight Princess describes an ante bet that costs 25% more than a standard bet and doubles the chance of triggering what it calls the “Re-Spins mode”. The pages we read for Gates of Olympus do not mention one.

About the ante bet

An ante bet raises the cost of every spin by 25%, so a 1.00 spin costs 1.25. In exchange, the announcement says the feature triggers twice as often. Pragmatic Play does not publish whether the ante bet changes the RTP, so we cannot say if it costs more in the long run. Check the game’s information screen at your casino before switching it on.

Which one to play

If the figures are the same, the choice comes down to theme and which game your casino runs at the provider’s default RTP. Check the RTP in each game’s information screen. A lower version costs more over the long run. See slot RTP versions.
